Here are a select few pixel designs on A4 squared paper or isometric grid paper , created with felt-tip pens for that low-fi vibe.
For these works in many cases I applied mathematical ratios to the colour placement based on symmetry and repeats...then proceeded in many cases to break certain rules or add flaws. (After a while i found that the work more closely bound to rules was less intriguing to look at, there can be an alluring beauty in imperfections).
From investigating layered pixel effects i went on to trying to use them to describe the aspects of the world through the emotive resonance created by patterns of colour. Clearly this is subjective to my point of view but i hope some people may feel the connections with some of the pieces. Then those pieces could be considered more objective in their depiction/contemplation of the world. As yet the greater direction these are headed to is undecided though I intend to rework them in various other Media.
Below are some examples of this kind of design illustration.
